Monica Thie

Monica was born and raised in Surabaya, Indonesia, before moving to New York in 2017 and California in 2019. She earned an Associate degree in Culinary Arts from the Culinary Institute of America and spent a couple years cooking professionally before pivoting to veterinary medicine. She took upon a profound interest in veterinary medicine after attending to her rescued English bulldog Coco’s extensive medical care and decided to return to school. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Animal Science from UC Davis and soon will be attending the Doctor of Veterinary Medicine program at Cornell University College of Veterinary Medicine.

In her free time, she enjoys cooking (still), playing the piano and violin, spending some outdoor time with her 2 Bulldogs, Bocuse and Boulud, and snuggling with her 2 cats, Mori and Moto.
